Basque style chicken legs with tomato cream sauce

 I made a new recipe for today using a new product from the bay area vendor @margaritalatinofoodie Chipotle carrot sauce and boy it's spicy hot and I made a basque style chicken legs in tomato cream sauce and you got to give their sauces a try and they only serve the bay area community I just wish they find commercial distribution soon, thabk you @rencenterpeninsula for bring in  vendors like these ladies and they do wonderful work so heres the recipe for anyone to try at home 






Basque style chicken legs in tomato cream sauce 

4 tbl vegetable oil divided 

1 pack chicken legs 

@mojolechonera sazon pa'too seasoning 

1/4 onion chopped

1/4 yellow bell pepper diced 

1 can @redgoldtomatoes tomato sauce 

1 cup @clover.sonoma heavy cream 

3 tsp @margaritalatinofoodie Chipotle carrot hot sauce 

Steamed rice for serving 


In a heavy duty pot heat 2 tbl oil over medium heat once hot season chicken legs with seasoning on both sides and place skin side down and brown chicken make sure to wiggle a bit to prevent sticking 1 to 2 minutes per side and transfer to plate 

Add in 2 tbl remaining oil and add onion and cook until translucent 5 minutes then add In tomato sauce, cream and hot sauce and stir to combine and add chicken back to pan bring to a simmer then simmer on medium low for 25 minutes or until cooked through (covered) check it will fall off the bone. Serve over rice
