Mushroom bolgenese gnocchi
Hey foodies, its flu season and you need immune boosting foods like ginger and garlic to fight the cold. So i found a way to add flavor into the mushroom ragu and to be honest it's a flavorful dish you'll want at least another bowl. So make this for your loved ones and you'll soon find ginger and garlic make you feel better
Mushroom bolgenese gnocchi
1 10 oz package trader joes stuffed gnocchi (pan saute to package directions and transfer to a bowl as you prepare the ragu)
1 tbl butter
1 onion chopped
1 tsp dried basil leaves
2 cups sliced baby bella mushrooms
2 cloves garlic minced
1 jar prego marinara sauce
2 tbl half and half
Method
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat once hot add onion, cook untll tender, about 4 minutes, then add in the basil and mushrooms, cook stirring occasionally until the mushrooms are very tender 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute
Stir inthe marinara sauce and 1/2 cup shaken tomato water from the jar of sauce and bring to a boil , simmer 3 minutes. Stir inthe half and half. Add in the gnocchi back to the pan and heat for 2 more minutes tossing gently to combine. Enjoy
