Turkey bok choy hoisin suimai (for 2019 Pillsbury bake off)

Hi foodies it's Ava marie here and last year my meat ricotta hand pies didn't get picked for the food network I'm redeeming myself to bring the win back to South San Francisco did you know 50% of South San Francisco daly city has a Asian American population mostly the Filipinos. Yep that's true. We also have Chinese and Japanese food here. So I did some soul searching by taking a public bus looking at these Asian faces and decided to make suimai for Pillsbury bake off 2019 I hope I get picked for appetizer for any party and I hope you can remake the love of doughboy at home much love to you and your family






Turkey bok choy hoisin siumai
2 tbl oil
2 rolls Pillsbury Hawaiian crescent rolls
1 lb ground turkey
1 baby bok choy trimmed and chopped finely
3 tbl hoisin sauce
1 onion chopped finely

Method
Preheat oven to 400

In a large skillet over medium heat oil and add onions and bok choy and crumbled ground turkey cook until no longer pink and veggies are cooked through. Do not drain the fat. Add in hoisin sauce and let it simmer few minutes more turn off heat as you make the crescent squares

Open a can of crescent rolls and seal edges dust with flour and roll to create a smooth roll of crescent dough cut in half and then into 8 squares and take a square package and  spoon a tablespoon full of bok choy turkey and fold into a potsticler shape then into a tortellini shape and place on to parchment lined cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining siumais or until all is lined up and bake for 14 minutes or golden brown on top and cooked through and serve with sweet chili sauce
