Ham and cheese scones with mustard butter

Last minute idea for a royal wedding watch party here's a recipe for my ham and cheese scones with mustard butter fit for Queen Elizabeth as Prince Harry and Megan markle walk down the aisle and 5am guys sadly I can't watch because I have to work this weekend at via west campus but please make them it's a easy to make and you use bisquik mix as a genius kitchen hack get baking






Ham and cheese scones with mustard butter
From Rachael Ray Orange cookbook

2 cups bisquik baking mix
1/4 cup sugar
5-6 slices deli ham chopped
1/2 cup plus 2 tbl cheddar cheese
1/4 cup.chopped chives
1 egg
1/2 cup half and half
4 tbl butter
2 tbl brown mustard
Method
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
In a large mixing bowl combine the pancake mix, sugar, ham, about 1/2 cup of cheese, and chives. In a small bowl combine egg and milk. Then add to a bowl of dry ingredients give it a gentle stir with a rubber spatula until soft dough forms
Sprinkle a little bit of baking mix onto your work surface and turn the dough onto it. Give it a quick knead and form into a round circle cut into wedges and place onto a cookie sheet brush dough with a coating of half and half then sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown
While it's baking mix butter and mustard together serve with scones
