restaurant review: juniper and ivy (top chef star Richard blais restaurant)

Dear foodies on Friday night i had a great weekend getaway to san Diego with my special needs friend becky Cleveland and her parents paul and Debbie. As we got to san Diego we got to dine at one of Richard blais restaurants i actually did spotted him at a table but did not get a fan photo with him. He changes his dishes daily so I hope you have a chance to visit juniper and ivy next time you head down to the la jolla area ok. I have part 2 (cooking for beckys family) and 3 (seven seas food fest at sea world) to come until then here's pictures of the food we ate and location ok

This is the front location of Richard blais restaurant in san diego little Italy neighborhood

We first got a cheese puff made out of pate chox dough
Then beckys dad paul and I had oysters with horseradish on halfshells soo good
We had Tuna tartare with yuzu jam like glaze
We all got a rich porcini arancini the best ever
We also enjoyed the charred sugar snap peas it taste like Mexican street corn meets peas loved it
We also tried the burrata with apricot and rhubarb jam with cocoa nibs Debbie and I will say they should have give us crostini toasts it shouldn't have been served alone best as a brushetta topper
We also liked the ricotta gnocchi it was light not too rich
Loved the bbq carrots they had a smoky flavor but it was overall excellent
Loved the green bean casserole and duck breast with a eggroll. But Didn't care about the pork chop as much
Loved the potatoes it was rich delicious made with passion by Richard blais.

Loved all the food I'll meet him in person one day when I become a celebrity chef someday time will come. Don't worry but

Next time you are in little Italy check it out its the best spot ever
