caramelized onion country gravy

Hi fans hey i have a gravy recipe that is no fail its great on biscuits you gotta try this vegetarian version of a sausage gtavy without the meat. So make it soon for your next weekend breakfast mmm delish



Caramelized onion country gravy

1 onion, sliced
2 tbl oil
2 tbl butter
1 tsp sugar
4 tbl flour
Kosher salt abd peoper
a pinch nutmeg
1-2 cups whole milk

Method
in a saute pan melt butter withthe oil over medium highheat. Add the onions salt pepper and sugar and cook for 10 minutes reduce to medium and cook for additional 15 minutes until deep golden brown. Then stir in the flour and mix to incorporate then slowly whisk in milk a little at a time and bring back to a simmer until thickened season with salt pepper and a pinch of nutmeg and you got vegetarian biscuits and gravy yum
