Fallon Style Ice Cream Two Tone SemiFreddo with Strawberry Brown Sugar Coulis

hey fans, I finally perfected the show stopping dessert using The tonight Dough ice cream Starring Jimmy Fallon chocolate caramel cookie dough ice cream from ben and jerrys. I also layered it with vanilla ice cream and freeze them in a loaf pan in plastic wrap. I made a Strawberry Brown sugar coulis it has a kiss of an orange zest in it. so this one is for Jimmy when he turns 41 years old this year and for the fans out there! so enjoy this super easy recipe from my kitchen to yours










Fallon Style ice cream Two Tone Semifreddo with Strawberry Brown sugar Coulis

1 pint Ben and Jerry's Tonight dough ice cream, softened
1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened

for the coulis
1 pint fresh strawberries, chopped
zest and juice of 1 orange
2 tbl water
1/2 cup brown sugar

method
have a loaf pan ready layer with plastic wrap both sides work best. first layer the tonight dough ice cream on the bottom of the loaf pan. press to form a loaf. then layer on top with vanilla ice cream and spread to even the layers and then fold to cover the plastic end to end. and freeze for 4 hours or up to a day.
to make coulis in a sauce pan bring all the ingredients to a boil and let it cook for a few minutes. do not let it caramelized into a caramel. I want it to just dissolve. then place into a blender and puree until smooth and place into containers and let cool in them on the counter before sealing them properly. then store in the fridge until use.
to assemble. unwrap the fallon style ice cream semifreddo loaf and slice into a disk. and plate it and drizzle with the strawberry brown sugar coulis like chefs do in a restaurant. and woo la la! you got dazzling gourmet dessert made with TLC.
