hi fans, if you need a recipe for a new years brunch here it is Its made with tomatoes and mozzarella and step by step on how to do the recipe. super easy! and you can make your own favorite crust recipe such as Carla hall's the chew basic recipe. other than that I save time using pie shells super faster but made my own fillings so happy new year and let's ring In 2015 together with more food and fun shall we? happy eating in a new years way!

Tomato and Mozzarella Quiche
  • One frozen deep-dish pie crust
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups half & half
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, washed and halved
  • method
    Preheat your oven to 375ยบ.
Start by whisking the egg and half and half in a bowl. Next, add the flour and whisk until the lumps are removed. Work in the salt and pepper.
Now try as I might to get the lumps out by hand whisking, I almost always end up with lumps! So, here’s my workaround: through it in a blender. You’ll end up with the smoothest quiche mixture ever  Next, fill the bottom of the frozen pizza crust with your halved tomatoes. Top with the mozzarella cheese. Finally, pour the egg mixture on top.

To move to the oven and avoid spills and awkwardness, I found it best to place the quiche on a baking tray first. Check your quiche after about 40 minutes. It’s done when a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Mine was done at 5o minutes.
it made up to 2 pies up to 16 people so enjoy!
