Bacon Kale Herb Quick Bread

hello readers, today I made a delicious herb quick bread with crumbled bacon and kale. I found the 50 quick bread recipe booklet from food network magazine October 2014 issue. and it turned out wonderful. I am letting it cool and it smelled delish. and I am going to taste it will let you know on chef ava marie how delish it was tomorrow! so please make this good/bad for you bread in one recipe. I know so kale is heart healthy bacon is not. but its blended together so we balance it both! so get cooking fans!













Bacon kale herb Quick bread

follow the recipe for the basic parmesan herb bread from food network magazine, but swap out the parmesan add in bacon kale and 1/4 tsp chili powder. mmmm so read below and baking is a lot different than cooking because its science baby!

Parmesan-Herb Base Caramelize 2 sliced onions in olive oil over medium-low heat, 30 minutes. Whisk 3/4 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 2 eggs. Separately, whisk 1 3/4 cups flour, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan, 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 teaspoons each chopped rosemary and thyme, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon lemon zest, 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda; add the onions. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Bake 40 to 50 minutes

for the bread I made here it is
Bacon-Kale Saute 5 ounces chopped kale in olive oil. Make Parmesan-Herb Bread (No. 42), omitting the Parmesan and adding 1/4 teaspoon cayenne. Add the kale and 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon to the batter
