Breakfast pigs in a blanket (Idea from everyday with Rachael Ray)

last week, I got this idea from Everyday with Rachael Ray magazine on how to use cresent rolls and instead of hot dogs I use Jimmy dean frozen breakfast sausage links you put in a skillet and I glaze it with maple syrup and its good for breakfast, lunch or dinner, of course or all 3, so I made it for my parents, and they loved it and they want me to make it again soon! so I hope you enjoy the recipe and the step by step photos

Breakfast pigs in a blanket
From Everyday with Rachael Ray magazine
1-2 roll cresent dinner rolls
12 frozen  Jimmy dean Breakfast sausage links
1/4 cup maple syrup plus more for dipping
1 egg beaten
poppy seeds
preheat oven to 375 degrees
unroll cresent rolls and separate the pieces in the package. in a non stick skillet heat with cooking spray over medium high heat add the links and cook for 6-7 minutes until golden brown and glaze with the maple syrup with a pastry brush to give it a golden glossy feel. set syrup aside for dipping
so lay out 1 cresent roll place 1 sausage seam side up where the big area is and roll up and place on a cookie sheet ungreased. repeat with remaining pigs in a blankets. then brush with egg wash on top of the pastries and then sprinkle with poppy seeds and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown check the package for sure! and serve with your loved ones!
