Molasses sugar cookies

hello reader's 2 weeks ago, i made molasse sugar cookies for the pottery place called color of mine in daly city and they love the cookies i made and i got myself into free admission for that day, the owner made butterscotch oatmeal cookies and it was good, this recipe is just as good, so this recipe came from a neighbor named ms.sue casey she makes these every christmas for her family so today here's the recipe she gave me, and its a hit, so enjoy making these cookies with kids




Molasses sugar cookies
3/4 cup butter about (1 3/4 sticks butter)
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups All purpose flour
1 cup sugar. plus more for rolling
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking doa
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp ground cloves
method
in a bowl with a hand mixer cream butter and sugar until fluffy  add in molasses, egg and spices and blend until incorporated in another bowl sift flour, baking soda and salt together and then gradually add to molasses egg mixture until it forms into like play dough texture. chill dough for 15 minutes or 20 minutes form into 1 inch balls, all balls must be the same size then roll in sugar bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. let cool completely before serving
